Allowing retakes offers students an additional opportunity to succeed by reinforcing learning through repetition. Configure retakes as follows:

1. Edit the Quiz: Access quiz settings through the quiz editor
2. Enable Retakes: Toggle “Allow Retakes” on to let students attempt the quiz multiple times
3. Set Retake Limits: Use the “Limit” field to define how many retakes are allowed
4. Choose Attempt to Keep: Decide whether to store the “Best” or “Latest” attempt:
   • Best: Retain the highest score achieved across attempts
   • Latest: Keep the most recent attempt only

Also, should a student reach the retake limit without passing, their instructor can reset quiz attempts as needed.
